I was very impressed with the cleanliness and general feel of the hotel.
Looks nice & new.
It looks nicer than it is. Many things in our room didn't work/were broken - the safe, the lamp, the shelf in the shower, the toilet paper holder... There's no floor length mirror to see what you look like before you leave. They charged me $100 more than I booked the hotel for. I think they need to better inspect the rooms before they're deemed "Ready".
The location is convenient, gorgeous lobby and room.
Hotel newly opened and did not ready welcome one's guests - many fitments did not work. Hotel is right over subway line, very noisy- it cannot sleep at night. Staff is not yet well trained, did not know the simple question. There is no safe in the room (was broken). It was impossible to make a copy of document and receive fax at the reception. I am sorry, I would not recommend this hotel
Fairly good location for sightseeing. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room size was good compared to our previous experience in ny, we had a studio with two queen size corner room, can't vouch for others. Everything was in good condition as the hotel is fairly new and still has a few teething problems which staff were very willing to attend to.
As we had a corner room with windows to both sides of a busy junction there was quite a bit of noise, perhaps double or triple glazing would have helped. But as we were in ny we did not expect not to hear the noise of the city...even the subway noise did not prevent us from sleeping. Unfortunately the hotel does not have any dining or bar facilities but there are plenty of both within a stones throw. All in all I would certainly stay there again.
State of the art ammenities, very clean and hip design.
The hotel has some of the modern amenities you would see in a luxury hotel like the 3 shower faucets, television on the mirror in the bathroom, electric curtains, and the electronic do not disturb and housecleaning service signs outside the door.
Housecleaning didn't come daily as requested; tissue box, toiletries not stocked up when empty; dust all over the cabinets. On our last day, house keeping kept knocking at the door at 1130 when the checkout time is at noon. Rude and very impolite housekeeping manager (short lady with eyeglasses), she never smiled or say 'good morning'. I would not recommend this boutique hotel.
Very pleasant and helpful staff, gorgeous lobby and rooms.
Right over subway line/very noisy. Hotel newly opened--many outlets and fitments did not work. Staff nice not yet well trained
The staff were great and very helpful. We arrived at the hotel at 8am knowing it was too early to check in but wanted to drop our bags off. They did not have any information from Booked.net-fortunately I had the printout to confirm the booking. They had a room that was ready so we were able to check in early-very early. The location was great for the purpose of our visit which was to visit my daughters school and to look at apartments. Very close to the subways we needed. Lots of restaurants and a great park in the area.
The air conditioning wasn't working too well...I Checked with the front desk and they sent up someone to look at it- only she knew nothing about it worked.
The facility was new and my room was very comfortable.
As a new facility, they have a few quirks to work out but I'm sure they will. For example, turn down service at10:30 (after I was in bed).
The location and the staff. The staff was really simpathetic and wiling to help.
lack of a hotel lobby, being unable to get in my room during the night due to an electronic malfunction...i could have awakened my family to let me in...i chose not to..essentially i had to stay awake all night
It was new and clean
I think the doggie tied up and barking every night was crazy . I was on the 5 th floor on the broadway side and on the second night had to go get earplugs not for the music which is just stupid loud but for the barking! I think the live music is a very bad idea and I was totally shocked you have to do a better Job of letting people know what they are in for. The no room service is flat out stupid! It's NYC anywhere else you can get anything you want brought to your door again you need to advertise that bigger , that would have been a deal breaker for me. The no alcohol in the mini bar stupid ! Are you a Disney hotel?? The no toilet seat lid very chintzy , your trying to be a boutique hotel not a jail. I can not believe a work associate stayed there for sever nights and recommended your hotel. Frankly I can not believe anyone would not mention the live music I went down to get the earplugs and the clerk was checking a guest in and they were yelling at each other. That's just plain wrong
Quirky hotel, great live music every night, fantastic location. Was expecting it to be noisy at night but it wasn't a problem (we were on the 6th floor so that might have helped). Free wifi was a bonus for the kids. Beds very comfortable and staff always on hand to change towels, top up the coffee supplies, provide ice etc. Handy for subway but easy enough to walk to places - East Village, Greenwich Village, Central Park. Great introduction to NY and would recommend it to anyone!
Nowhere to hang the wet towels - big problem when travelling with two teenage girls:-)
The room was fantastic, fully loaded and the staff were amazingly helpful and efficient.
They need to change the phone number on their headed paper. It's out of service.
